Alyssa Ann Topoly

Alyssa Ann Topoly passed away on October 7, 2022 at the age of 39 after a long battle with cancer. Born on September 19, 1983 in Elyria, she was a lifelong resident of Lorain County and graduated from Midview High School in 2001. She moved to Wellington to raise her only child, Samantha A. Scott, in 2015.

Alyssa lived with a good work ethic and loved the outdoors, spending her spare time gardening, riding her bike, and hiking. She spent countless hours working on her dollhouse, reading, doing puzzles, and had a passion for animals, especially her cats. On holidays Alyssa enjoyed cooking for family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter, Samantha A. Scott of Wellington, mother and stepfather, Cheryl and Tim Miller, and father Gary Laisy of Olmsted Township, maternal grandparents Carol and Bob Topoly of North Ridgeville, sisters, Sarah A. Carte (Miller) of Elyria, Michaela A. Miller of Grafton, Dolly A. Miller of Grafton, brothers Jeff A. Miller of Paul Smith’s, New York, and Travis W. Miller of Grafton. Also aunts and uncles, Jennifer (Topoly) and Chuck Crosier of Apex, North Carolina and Bill and Missy Topoly, Jr.

Friends and family may call on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 12-2 pm at the Duke Funeral Home, 1021 Main St. Grafton with a funeral service at 2pm with Father John Seabold, officiating.
