Annabelle Capell

Annabelle Capell ( Nee Ross ), age 93 of Wellington and formerly of Grafton passed away Saturday March 20, 2021. She was born January 16, 1928 to the late Clare & Ruth ( Nee Puder ) Ross. She grew up in Wakeman and was a 1946 graduate of Wakeman High School. On June 28, 1947 she married Neil Capell of North Ridgeville and were married 40 years prior to his passing on March 18, 1987. She was co-owner of the Geri-Ann Variety Store in Grafton and later worked retail at the Midway Mall and in banking for the former EST Bank. She was a long time member of The Church of The Open Door in Elyria where she enjoyed singing in the choir and she later attended the First Baptist Church in Wellington. She was very creative and enjoyed crafts, cooking, crossword puzzles, camping and motorcycling. She was also an avid reader and loved history. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved being with her family. She is survived by her son Allen ( Juanita , deceased), daughter Donna ( Joe ), grand daughter Colleen ( Warren ), grandson Kyle ( Nadine ) and by great grandchildren Aiden , Allison and Willow. She was preceded in death by her husband Neil, parents Clare & Ruth Ross, daughter-in-law Juanita Capell and by her sister. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a private graveside service for the family only at Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Township. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Arrangements are being handled by the Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton.
