Carrol Marks

Carrol Eugene Marks was called home on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at the age of 87, surrounded by family and loved ones. Carrol was born on March 30, 1937 in Gilmer County, West Virginia to James and Myrtle (Pritt) Marks. 

Carrol loved to be around other people and could be found frequently meeting with friends at the local McDonald’s. He enjoyed buying & selling antiques, attending & operating auctions, viewing tractor pulls, as well as watching & attending professional wrestling shows with his sons & grandsons. He was passionate about bluegrass music and enjoyed sharing his many stories about the shows he got to see, while listening to the songs from the albums in his collection. 

 Carrol was a generous, kind, and humorous man who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. 

 Carrol is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Marks, his parents, James & Myrtle Marks, his brothers, Ralph Marks, Carl Marks, his brother in law Grant Richards, his son, Denzil Marks, and his grandson John Hernandez. He is survived by his daughter Linda Marks, his sons, Mike Marks, Jim (Kathi) Marks, Jesse (Sherry) Marks, his brother, Earl (Connie) Marks, his sisters Jeanne Richards, Kathleen Pergola, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A small celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St, Grafton, Ohio from 6 PM to 7PM. Afterwards the burial will commence at Resthaven Memorial Garden in Avon, Ohio. Arrangements are being handled by Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St, Grafton
