Christine M. Thewlis

Christine M. Thewlis 76, of Grafton passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home September 25, 2023.

Born in Plettenberg, Germany May 29, 1947 and came to America by ship with her parents when she was a toddler.

She settled in Lorain County for most of her life and called it home. Christine was a 1965 graduate of South Amherst High School and was the Homecoming Queen. She was a natural green thumb and loved tending to her picturesque gardens full of color all season long.

A talented artist whose paintings looked like actual photography, she also made the most beautiful quilts with her late mother were her favorite hobbies.

Survived by her loving daughter Erin Cobb, husband Jeff Cobb – stepdaughters Karen & Chrissy Thewlis and her grandchildren whom she loved very much,

Carson & Chase Soptelean, Robby & Bailey Cobb and Craig Vaught.

She was preceded in death by her caring husband David D. Thewlis, who passed last July and her wonderful mother and father Ella ( Nee Wickle ) & Antoni Adamus.

A private celebration in her honor will be held by her loving family.
