Donald W. Conrad Sr.

Donald W. Conrad Sr peacefully passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, November 16, 2023. A lifelong Eaton Township resident. Don was born on March 7, 1937 to parents John S. and Sophie B. (Hyde) Conrad. He graduated from Eaton High School Class of 1955 and then proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard.

Don was a member of the Ohio Operating Engineers employed by CP Gilgenbach Co until his retirement in 2001. Don enjoyed being outdoors working in his yard, fishing, woodworking, golfing, bowling and above all spending  time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Pauline ( née Keller); children, Diane Sanchez of Mansfield, Donald Jr. (Debbie) Conrad of North Royalton, Debra ( Dave) Dull of Ashland, and David (Stephanie) Conrad of Rochester; 9 Grandchildren, 16 Great-GrandChildren, and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Don was preceded in death by a grandson Brandon Burdette, and brothers John and Robert.

Funeral services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Friendship Animal Protective League of Lorain County.
