Earl D. Greene, 89, of Columbia Station, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 31, 1936, to Frank and Ruth (Neumiester) Greene.
Earl spent his life rooted in the community he called home. He was a member of the North Eaton Church of God.
He was a proud graduate from Strongsville High School, Class of 1955, and later earned an Associate’s degree in Business/Clerical from Ashland College. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Earl went on to work for J&L/LTV Steel Company in Cleveland, Ohio, where he dedicated many years of service before retiring.
Earl will be remembered for his strong work ethic, quiet strength, and unwavering dedication to his family. He had a kind heart, a steady presence, and a way of making those around him feel valued and supported-building a life rich in love and meaningful connections with all who knew him.
Earl is survived by his wife, Lois Jean (Bias); stepson, Jackie Bias (Maude); brothers, Lowell (Carol) and John (Bonnie); as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews who will continue to cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepson, Dana; and brother Dave (Mollie).
His furry companions, Ollie and Ivy, will miss their many adventures with Earl as well.
Earl’s presence will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the ASPCA or Western Reserve Hospice of Westlake.
