Emmarine (Cook) Mahon

Emmarine Mahon, 89, passed through the Heavenly Gates on December 31, 2025.  She was born to Albert L. and Cora Cook in Topmost Kentucky.  She was one of 12 children.  Emmarine is survived by husband Robert Mahon of 16 years.  Her children Ginger (Gary) Hite , Mark (Miranda) Moore, stepchildren Jill (Ben) Simonson, Robert (Terry) Mahon, her sister Emma Lou Martin, 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by first husband, Otmar G. Moore of 49 years.  Siblings, Edward, James, Jellin, Nesmer, Elgin, Raymond, Lillie, Mavis, Ollie, and Aster.

She attended church at Pleasant View Old Regular Baptist Church.  She loved her church and church family.  She enjoyed having family and friends get togethers for special occasions, holidays and lunch dates.  She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was a homemaker, and a good cook.  She loved sweets and desserts.  Everybody called her Rini.  She will be missed.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 7, 2026 from 2 to 4 PM in the Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no preaching or funeral services. Burial will be on Thursday January 8, 2026 at 12 Noon in the Litchfield Cemetery. Please meet at the cemetery.
