Frank Edward Vitovitz, age 88 passed away November 27, 2019 in Dawsonville, Georgia in the arms of his loving companion Norma Oxyer. He was a life long resident of Columbia Station before he and Norma moved to Georgia 15 years ago. He was born at home on November 21, 1931.He was a graduate of Eaton High School and served honorably in the US Army in the Korean Conflict from 1953-1955. He was the owner of Cowley Construction Company for 52 years where he worked side by side with his son Michael and retired at age 70. He was a proud member of the masonry union for over 50 years. He loved being surrounded by his family and friends and enjoyed planting vegetables, yard work and tinkering around his tractors. Frank is survived by his beloved life long companion Norma Oxyer and his much loved dog Cindy, his son Michael Vitovitz and family Amy and Paul of Lagrange, daughter Lynn Elwell and family Dennis Deegan of North Olmsted . Survivors also include his brother John Vitovitz of Columbia Station, brother Eli Vitovitz and family Diane, Vicki, Debbie, Richard, Scotty, Kelly and David of Elyria, former wife Gretchen Buckingham of Grafton, granddaughter Marylynn Laing and family Mitch and Paige of Cuyahoga Falls, grandson Ben Elwell and family Janet and Skylar of Bonite Springs, Fl, nieces and nephews Johnny, Karen and Mary Lou. He was preceded in death by his loving parents John & Mary Vitovitz, beloved brother Edward Vitovitz, sister Helen Halter and her husband John and children Mary and Jeff.
