Franklin Delano Collins

Frank passed away Sunday January 26, at Countryside Manor in Fremont, Oh from complications associated with Alzheimer disease. He was born in Rock Creek WV, June 9, 1940 to William and Dicie Collins.
He was a semi-truck driver for Shell Oil and Over-Nite Transportation for many years. A self-taught, backyard mechanic who could take apart a car, fix it, put it back together without even a thought, until the disease took away his ability to even know how to turn a screw.
He was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn, in 2016. He is survived by his son Timothy (Shirley) Collins of Grafton, Oh; daughter Deanna (Larry) Thompson of Swanton, Oh.; Grandchildren, Brandon (Amber) Collins of Kendallville In., Amanda (Dan) Mayle of Oberlin Oh, Jeffrey Rood of Norwalk Oh, Dana Rood of Swanton Oh, Travis Thompson of Swanton Oh, Larry Thompson Jr. of Swanton Oh, Michelle Thompson of Swanton Oh. Eight great grandchildren, sister Carol Williams of Clear Fork WV, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Thursday January 30 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton, Oh. Pastor Chad Blaylock will officiate the service following visitation. Burial will be Friday January 31, 2020 at 11AM at Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman Oh.
