Gary Lee McCort

Gary L. McCort, age 78 of Eaton Township passed away Tuesday June 24, 2025 in UH St. John's Medical Center .He was born November 29,1946 to William and Betty ( nee Kitts ) McCort in Cleveland, Ohio. Gary was a Midview High School graduate and had attended Ohio State University. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was self employed as he was the owner and operator of Red Line Engineering. Gary was an Eaton Township trustee for 8 years serving his community. A member of the American Legion Post 0717, Gary also enjoyed farming and family. He is survived by his brother Patrick McCort, sister Carole Westervelt,  niece Angela McCort, nephews Greg Smith, and Brett McCort. Survivors also include great nieces Rylie McCort, Lauren Smith and by great nephews Maverick McCort and Blake Smith. Gary was preceded in death by his wife Nancy ( nee Toth ) and by his parents. Burial will be in Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Township on Monday July 14, 2025 at 10 AM with Father Charlie Ryba officiating. Military honors will also be provided. Arrangements by the Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton.
