Helen Cutter Obituary

Helen E. Cutter (Metzger) 82, lifelong resident of Grafton, passed away after a brief illness.She was a 1955 graduate of Grafton High School. She was employed by Ridge Tool where she met her husband of 61 years, John S. Cutter III. For 16 years she answered the phone for the police department & dispatched the officers from her home before Grafton had their current facility. When her husband joined the Grafton Village Fire Department she volunteered her time at the Grafton Firemen's Festival lunchstand and later took care of the flower bed at the fire station. She enjoyed flower gardening, designing early American rooms in miniatures, and decorating her home for every holiday. Meeting friends or family for lunch was always a highlight of her week. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Besides being survived by her husband John, she is survived by daughters Laura Fildes (Jeff), Jeanne Wildenheim (Larry), granddaughter Rose Wildenheim, step granddaughter Lynda Amir(Dr. Hasan), and 3 step great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Wilhelmine Metzger (Schworer).

Per Helen's wishes, services will be held privately by her family.

Memorials can be made to The Grafton Volunteer Fire Department, 1013 Chestnut St, Grafton, OH or the Grafton Police Benevolent Association, 1009 Chestnut St, Grafton, OH.
