Hillard V. Bentley

Hillard V. Bentley, age 81 of Litchfield passed away Sunday August 14, 2022  following a brief illness. Hillard was born April7, 1941 to the late B.F. & Tishie Bentley in Neon, Kentucky. He came to Cleveland Ohio in 1960 to get a job at Mondie Forge. He went back to Kentucky to ask Loretta Lee Hall to be his wife. They married September 2, 1961 and had 2 children Tammy and Hillard Jr.. The family moved to Litchfield in 1990 and Hillard retired in 1992 from Mondie Forge. He enjoyed attending the Pleasant View Old Regular Baptist Church, being outside, cutting grass and causing mischief. He will be sorely missed by his family. He was preceded in death by his wife Loretta, his parents , nine of his brothres and sisters and by his great grandson. He is survived by his children Tammy ( Duke ) Drogell , Hillard Jr ( Michelle ), grandchildren Brittany ( Matt ) Bowen, Candace ( Adam ) Weekly, Dustin, Casey, Anne and by his great grandchildren  Aria, Jassmine, Terra, Carson, Raven and Aurora. Survivors also include his brother Waton ( Rama Sue ) Bentley and by many nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held on Thursday August 18, 2022  from 4 PM until services at 6 PM in the Pleasant View Old Regular Baptist Church 3589 Beat Rd. Litchfield where funeral services will be held on Friday August  19, 2022 at 11 AM with Elders Larry Newsome and Dennis Elkins  officiating. Burial will be in River Road Cemetery, LaGrange Township. Arrangements are being handled by the Duke  Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton.
