Hobart Bragg Jr. Obituary

Hobart R. (Whitey) Bragg Jr. passed away peacefully at home, at the age of 70, on  Wednesday, May 8, 2019.
Hobart was born August 8, 1948 in Rainelle West Virginia to Hobert and Opal Bragg.
Hobart graduated high school from Shady High School in Shady Springs West Virginia in 1967. He was drafted into the United States Army right after graduation where he proudly served. Hobart moved to Ohio after serving his country during the Vietnam War. It was here he met and married his wife of 49 years, Bonnie (Tierney) Bragg. They resided and raised their family in Grafton for most of these years. He was employed as a Building Chairman at Ford Motor Company in Brookpark, retiring in 2008 after 38 years of service.
Hobart enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding four wheelers, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Most summers were spent in the mountains of West Virginia with his family. Hobart never met a stranger and spent countless hours helping others. If he ever had an inkling someone was in need of something he always found a way to help get them whatever it was they needed. He really enjoyed the times he was home in his garage working on trucks with his son and grandson.
He is survived by his loving wife Bonnie (Tierney) Bragg at home, his daughter, Amy Sutton (Bill) of Vermilion, three grandchildren, Cody Sutton(Taylor) of Wellington, Alex Bennett (Rob) of Vermilion, Trevor Foster, (Paige) of Norwalk, and four great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by a sister, Hilda Forren and brother Randy Bragg of West Virginia, along with nieces, nephews aunts, uncles, and cousins all of West Virginia.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Candis Foster, a son, Harley Bragg, and a grandson, Richard Curran. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Hobert and Opal Bragg, a sister Mary Maxey, and two brothers, Gerald and Jackie Bragg.
