Irene A. Pasadyn

Irene Pasadyn, 97, of LaGrange, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2025

Born and raised in Lorain, Irene graduated from Lorain High School and went on to dedicate 20 years of service to Lorain County Human Services.  She was a devoted wife to the late Frank Pasadyn and a loving mother to the late Frank (Skip) Pasadyn Jr.  She leaves behind her beloved daughters, Noreen DeMarco and Karen Cassell as well as her dear daughter-in-law Shellie (late Skip) Pasadyn.

Irene was a cherished grandmother to Paula (Matt) Howard, Darin (Jess) DeMarco, Brian (Vanessa) DeMarco, Sherri (Dan) Parent, Barry Cassell, Justin (Mandy) Pasadyn, and Brittany (Jason) Raber.  She was also blessed with numerous great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.

An Accomplished bowler, Irene found joy in friendly competition and camaraderie on the lanes.  She had a deep love for nature, enoying birdwatching and tending to her beautiful flowers.  She was also a wonderful cook, know especially for her homemade pierogies, which became a treasured family favorite.  Her kitchen was always filled with love, and delicious aromas of her favorite dishes. 

Irene’s love for her family will be deeply missed.  Her legacy of strength, dedication, and tradition will live on in the hearts of those she touched. 

The family would like to say a special thanks to all the staff at Keystone Point, the place Irene called home over the past several years.  Thank you for all of the love and care you gave to her. 

A memorial mass will be held in the Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church 908 Erie St. Grafton  on Saturday March 1st, 2025 at 11 AM with Father John Seabold, pastor, officiating. There will be a visitation at the church from 10:30 until the 11 AM Mass. Arrangements are being handled by the Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton.
