Janice Rourke

Janice Rourke, age 83 of LaGrange passed away Thursday July 23, 2020 in the Mercy New Life Hospice Residential Center following a long illness. She was born January 8, 1937 and had lived in the LaGrange area most of her life. She was a homemaker who loved her family, her dogs and ceramics. She was a graduate of Elyria Catholic High School and a former member of the Assumption Catholic Church in Grafton. She is survived by her children Alfred, Bill ( Brenda ), Thomas ( Faye ), Deanna ( Tom ) Lacko and Dennis. Survivors also include her grandchildren Anthony, Mary, David, Adam, Joanna, Mike, Vanessa, Joe, Kelly and Alex. She is also survived by her 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband William Rourke Sr in 1998, father Alfred Otto in 1998, mother Anna Otto in 1996 and by her sister Karen Bayne in 2019. Friends may call in the Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton on Tuesday July 28, 2020 from 10:30 AM until services at 12 :00 Noon with Rev. John Seabold, pastor of the Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in River Road Cemetery, Lagrange Township. In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Mercy New  Life Hospice Residential Center 3500 Kolbe Rd. Lorain, Ohio 44053.
