José Ángel Hernández, 72, of Elyria, OH, passed away on Thursday February 17, 2022.

He was born on October 2, 1949, in Camuy, Puerto Rico. He moved to Ohio in 1961 where he spent the majority of his life.

José enjoyed fishing, golf, bowling, gardening, being outdoors, spending time with family, especially his grandchildren, playing games, and making everyone laugh.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Linda Green Hernández of 51 years, sons Joseph (Amber) Hernández of Holiday, Florida, Robert (Nicole) Hernández of Columbia Station, Ohio; daughter in law Crystal Hernández of Wellington, Ohio, mother Concepción Soto Hernández of Quebradillas, Puerto Rico; brothers Justíniano Hernández Soto and Felipé Hernández Soto of Quebradillas, Puerto Rico; sisters Gloria Hernández Soto, Emérita Hernández Soto also of Quebradillas, Puerto Rico, and Luz S. Hernández Soto of Jacksonville, North Carolina, and his grandchildren in Ohio, Florida and Texas.

José was preceded in death by his father Juan Hernández and sons Raymond Hernández and John Hernández.

Cremation services will be provided by Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton, OH.
