Judith Ann ( Sumpter ) Hashman 77, of Elyria, passed peacefully Thursday, September 3, 2020. Judy was born in Normantown, WVa on October 14, 1942, the daughter of Oren and Gwendolyn Sumpter. She was the beloved wife of Norman Hashman, who survives. They were married on June 17, 1961 and welcomed a daughter, Libby Anne, in April 1963. Throughout the years, Judy enjoyed traveling, shopping and attending old car shows.Judy is survived by her mother Gwendolyn Sumpter; her sisters Sharon Schulz, Joan Fluharty (Wayne Fluharty), Peggy Whyte (Paul Whyte); brother Brian Sumpter (Cheryl Sumpter); daughter Libby A. Bones; two grandsons Dustin Bones (Christin Bones) and Travis Bones (Becca Bones); five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Graveside service to be held Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Nesbett Cemetery in Grafton, Ohio at 1:00 pm. A Celebration of Life service to be held at a later date.
