June E. Hahn

June Ellen Hahn, age 90 of Carlisle Township passed away Tuesday January 22, 2019 following a short illness. She was born August 3, 1928 in Elyria and had lived her entire life in Lorain County. a graduate of Penfield High School in 1946 and really enjoyed her school dances. One of her most memorable dances was at the Columbia Ballroom where her date then ended up being her husband Dale. Music by Jim Reeves and Patsy Cline's song Crazy were her favorites. Her hobbies included cooking, baking, always making the best pies. She had a love for all flowers, particularly daylilies, but also crabapple and dogwood trees, azaleas and rhododendrons. She enjoyed gardening and  feeding and watching the birds. Going to Otto Schoepfle especially on Mother's Day was a favorite. June liked going on day trips with her daughter to see the flowers, fall foliage and other sites of interest. she is survived by her daughter with whom she made her home Lori ( Neal ) Haupt of Carlisle Township, sons Mark ( Helen ) of Carlisle Township, Todd ( Michelle ) of Lorain. Survivors also include her dearly loved grandchildren Bronson, Dale, Katie, Matt, Nikki, Jason, Seth, Ashlie, Zoe, Heather, Amanda and Molly. and her great grandchildren Riley, Brennen, Violet, Aria, Cole and Crew. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years  Dale Hahn, son Kent (Pete ), brothers Norwood, Nick and Lowell and by sisters Donna and Sharon and by her parents Ellis and Geneva ( Marsh ) Knapp. Friends may call in the Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton on Friday January 25, 2019 from 4 until services at 6:30 PM with Staci  Crabeels  officiating.
