Karen A. Resar (nee Moffitt), 70, of Grafton, died Monday, September 27th, 2021 at home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 5th, 1951 in Cleveland and had been a resident of Grafton for the last 25 years.
She attended John Marshall High School. Karen enjoyed crocheting, jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, and spending time with her family and friends. She loved hosting family gatherings, planning outings with friends, and going to wineries.
Karen is survived by her husband of 25 years Jack Resar, sons, Billy (Alma) Chambers, Scott (Megan) Chambers, daughter Tammy (Jason) French, 2 step sons, Jack (Kelsey) Resar, Jason Resar and step daughter Amy (Bob) Richards. 10 grandchildren, 1 step granddaughter and 6 great grandchildren, one brother Ken, and her mom Dorothy Rhyand who is 95.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Moffitt, in 1979.
Per Karen’s wishes there will be no service but the family will have a celebration of life on Saturday October 9th 2021 at her home 11950 Eastwood Drive, Grafton 44044 from 2-6pm. Please join us, we will be gathering to share some of our favorite memories, our stories, to laugh, to cry and to remember a wonderful wife, mother, daughter and friend who will be greatly missed.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Friendship APL in Elyria or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are in the care of Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton., Grafton Ohio.
