Kathy Sue Hales

    Kathy S Hales entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 5th, 2022, surrounded by her husband and children at New Life Hospice of Lorain. She was born to Dale and Yvonne Frost  (nee Moore) on July 30, 1956 in Waynesburg, PA.. Her family moved to Lorain, Ohio  when she was still a very young child. Kathy was the oldest of 6 children and attended school in Lorain through her Junior year and graduated from North Ridgeville High School in 1974.    

    Kathy and her husband Terry were married on November 11,1984. They had 2 children that she enjoyed watching play baseball, soccer, and softball as they grew. Her favorite activity was watching her daughter show horses at various horse shows and fairs. She was involved in the 4-H programs as an associate Advisor and loved the Lorain County Fair which she attended every August. She was employed by Midview Local Schools as a school bus  until her retirement in 2018.

      Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Dale Frost Sr.. Survivors include her mother Yvonne Frost, sisters Marilyn (Hoskinson)Frost, Cheryl Frost, and Carol Frost, brothers Michael Frost Sr and Dale Frost Jr, husband Terry Hales of 38 years, son Danny Hales and his constant companion Harper,  daughter Nikhol Catalano and husband Robert Catalano, grandsons Matthew and Colt Hales, Jude Bailey, and Robert Schriner.

    Visitation will be at the Duke Funeral Home on Main St. Grafton, Ohio 44044 from 5-6pm with service 6 pm on December 16, 2022. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to The Lorain County Fair Building and Renovation Fund in her name.
