Kenneth Mezurek

Kenneth S. Mezurek, age 75 of Grafton  passed away peacefully Sunday April 28, 2019 in the Ames Family Hospice Center following a 14 month battle with cancer. He was born May 11, 1943 and had lived his whole life in the Grafton area. He was a 1962 Midview High School where he played football and was  nicknamed " The Bull ". and a 1967 graduate of Ashland College. Ken served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and enjoyed golfing and spending the winters in Florida. He worked as a self employed livestock buyer and seller and also bought  and sold beef and deer hides. He was known as the hideman. Survivors include his wife of 47 years Judy ( Nee Mize ), his sister Dianne ( Ned ) Gott of Oberlin , sister -in-law Carol Mezurek and by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Carl & Doris Mezurek and by his brother Carl Mezurek. A memorial service will be held in the Belden United Methodist Church 36130 State Route 303 Grafton on Saturday May 11, 2019 where friends will be received from 10:30 AM until service at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made to either the church or to the Hospice of the Western Reserve 17876 St. Clair Ave. Cleveland, Ohio 44110.
