Linda D. Purcel (nee Pritt), 74, a lifelong resident of Grafton, passed away at Wesleyan Village, in Elyria following a long illness, on Friday, May 29, 2026. She was born June 4, 1951, in Stumptown, West Virginia. Linda loved volunteering at the Holmes County Training Center, scrap booking, bible journaling, crocheting, cross stitching, and spending time with her grandsons. She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Burnsworth (Michael); six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; her sister, Carol Pritt; her brother, Doug Pritt; and many nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her loving husband of 29 years, John “Jack” Purcel; her three sons, Jason, Joshua, and Joseph Purcel; and her parents, Charles and Oleta Pritt. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026, at 11am, at Nesbett Cemetery, in Grafton Township. Pastor Dave Swartz will officiate.
