Lois M. James

Lois M. James, 79, of Grafton, OH, peacefully passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024, at UH Elyria Regional Medical Center, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on May 3, 1945, in Oak Hill, WV, Lois was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Ruby (Taylor) Akers.

Lois, a dedicated homemaker, enjoyed dancing, country music, reading, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Dallas James (2011), and daughter-in-law, Pauletta Reed James (2012). She joins her siblings Melvin, Audrey, Roger, Billy, Buster, and Christine in eternal rest.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Eddie (Kim); grandson, Jesse (Erin); great-granddaughter, Callie Dawn; surviving siblings Juanita (Jim), Ronnie, and Beverley (Darryl); brother-in-law, Richard; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Sonny Hashman.

Graveside services will be held with Brother Josh Smith on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. at River Road Cemetery, Indian Hollow Road, LaGrange, OH 44050.
