Lorie Ann Swortchek (Earls), 65, of Litchfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully on the morning of July 30th, 2025. She was born on November 26th, 1959, in Oberlin, Ohio.
Lorie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was known for her selflessness, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering support touched the lives of everyone around her.
Lorie loved traveling with her husband and vacationing with family. She enjoyed gardening, searching for great deals, and preparing home-cooked meals for every holiday. Her home was a place of warmth, beauty, and comfort. Her family knew they could always count on her wisdom, kindness, and endless care.
She was preceded in death by her father, Tommy; her mother, Mary; her mother-in-law, Shirley; her brother, Tommy; grandson Mason Moss, her niece, Tammy; and her nephew, Tommy.
Lorie is survived by her beloved husband, James; her father-in-law, Joseph; her children, Dwayne, Jim, Tom, Joe, and Amanda ; her grandchildren, Ethan, Bentley, James, Kasen, Colton, and Olivia; her daughter-in-law’s, Kari and Kayla; her sisters, Sharon, Francis, and Jackie; and her brothers, Alan and Ricky.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Tuesday, August 5th, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Duke's Funeral Home, located at 1021 Main St., Grafton, Ohio. A funeral service will follow immediately after the viewing. Burial will be in Chatham Cemetery.
Lorie’s selflessness continues even in passing, as she was able to donate some of her organs to others in need. Her love and presence will be deeply missed.
