Margery Houston Obituary

Margery E. Houston (nee Grills), 86, lifelong resident of North Eaton, (Columbia Station) passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022 peacefully, at home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born November 29, 1935, at which later she will share with a great grandson.

Marge was a member of The Ladies Auxillary, Post # 1079North Eaton Alumni, Rebekkah Circle - selling pies at The Elyria VFW was always a big hit., and North Eaton Christian Church. When she wasn't running around Lorain County doing service work, Marge was running around with her friends going to breakfast, dinner, Friday Night Hoe-Down, gambling on bus trips, water walking, and Subway lunches. She got pretty good at playing Dominos, and living her best life... She was retired from USPA Columbia Station after 30+ years as a mail carrier.

Marge will be sadly missed by her family. Three children; Randy Houston (Cheryl), David Houston, and Sherry WIlson (Jim). Three grandchildren; Danielle WIlson, Adam Wilson (Stephanie), and Cody Wilson (Deceased). Five Great Grandchildren; Lamar Horton (Courtney), Jarel Horton, Jordan Horton, Amari Horton, and Honey WIlson. And Two Great Great Grandchildren, Carter and Carson Horton.

Marge is proceeded in death by her parents Robert and Berniece Grills, siblings Bob Grills, Shirley Dudek, and Kenneth Grills. Her husband E. Max Houston (Married for 48 yrs), and her grandson Cody WIlson.

Marge and Max cherished spending time with family, hosting holidays, reunions, and picnics with friends. Marge Touched Many Hearts. "Always" a listening ear to whomever was in need. She will be Forever Missed.....

If you would like to donate to one of Marge's favorite charities rather than send flowers, she favored Rainbow Babies, Hospice of Western Reserve, and St. Judes.

. Friends and family may call in the Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton on Thursday September  8, 2022 from 6 - 8 PM. Addiational visitation will be on Friday September 9, 2022 from 11 AM until services at 12 Noon with pastor Charlie Duke of the Lakeview Freewill Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Township.
