Margie L. Lilly

Margie Lucille Lilly, age 95 passed away on August 25, 2020 following a period of declining health. Margie was born on September 22, 1924 in Caneyville, Kentucky to the late Odie and Mollie Swift. She married John W. Lilly on June 4, 1946 and made her home in Grafton. Margie loved and raised John's two children, Lanata Parson ( Robert ) and the late Larry Lilly, as her own. Margie & John faithfully and generously supported the Litchfield Assembly of God Church and treasured the fellowship of their church family. Margie had an infectious laugh, cherished spending time with her family and friends, loved all animals and loved being outdoors. Margie is survived by her daughter Lanata, nieces Sue Roscoe, Rita Canfield, nephews Michael Swift, Kenneth Tompkins, Keith Tompkins, and her six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband John, brothers Oval, Olen, and Reedious Swift, her sister Coleen Tompkins ( Virgil ), and her great grandson Scott Parson. A private graveside service will be held at Butternut Ridge Cemetery in Eaton Township. The family appreciates the care and encouragement provided by Peggy Linden to Margie during her stay at Abbewood Assisted Living Facility.
