Mark Rauscher Obituary

Mark A. Rauscher, 67, of Grafton, Ohio, passed away Friday, April 17th, 2020 at University Hospital’s Ahuja Medical Center in Beachwood, Ohio. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 28th, 1952. Mark was a graduate of Conneautville High School in Pennsylvania. Mark lived an adventurous life, he enjoyed working for Western Geophysical in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska during the early 1980’s. In 1985 Mark and his wife Kimberly ventured on to buy the Deluxe Bar and Grill located in Grafton, Ohio, they have proudly owned and operated the Deluxe Bar and Grill together for 35 years. Mark truly cared for all of his patrons. Leading him to build strong ties within the local community. Mark was an avid Cleveland Browns and Indians fan and he also enjoyed coaching youth baseball for the Belden team for many years. Mark was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, he loved spending time with his family talking politics and sports. Mark valued the relationships he built with everyone he met and was always willing to help those in need.

Mark married Kimberly (Phelps) Rauscher on January 25th, 1975. They celebrated their 45th Wedding Anniversary on January 25th, 2020. Survivors include Mark’s wife, Kimberly (Phelps) Rauscher of Grafton, Ohio. Sister, Dana Rauscher of Vero Beach, Florida. Brother like (cousin) Tom Rauscher of Pennsylvania. Brother like (cousin) Sonny Rauscher of Pennsylvania. Sister like, Sheryl Bush of Virginia. Children Amanda L. (Rauscher) Brooks and husband Brad Brooks of Obetz, OH., Stephanie (Rauscher) Ford and husband Josh Ford of Grafton, OH., Marcus Rauscher and wife Jessica (Modic) Rauscher of Canfield, Oh., and Janie (Rauscher) Hanna and husband Michael Hanna of Ravenna, Oh. Grandchildren Donavyn, Isaiah, Elijah (preceded in death), Ella, Josiah and one grandchild on the way (baby Hanna).

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony "Tony" and Ella Rauscher; grandson Elijah Ford. He was preceded in death by Shorty and Nellie Lehman who were considered family and treated Mark as a grandchild. Mark is loved by all and will be greatly missed by all those that knew him.

Private funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 21st, 2020, at  12 pm. CDC guidelines will be followed. A Memorial Service will be held for family and friends at a later date to be announced in honor of Mark.
