Mark A. Reed Sr.

Mark A. Reed, age 84 of Grafton Township passed away Friday January 30, 2026 in the Life Care Center of Medina following a long illness.  He was born May 20, 1941 to Kenneth and Evelyn(née Nierath) Reed.  In February of 1965 he married Sally (Nee Kowatch )Reed and they have been happily married for over 60 years.  Mark served in the National Guard as a young man.   He also had the life long dream of being  a pilot and loved building airplanes.  He also had the dream to own an airport which he did in his later years in Grafton township.  He was a respected mechanic and owned his own business repairing and rebuilding cars and when he retired he was working for RTA as a HVAC mechanic for the buses.   

He was a man of strong faith and enjoyed singing in the choir and men’s group at Belden Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife Sally, daughter Lisa and son Mark Jr.  He is also survived by his sister Kathryn Winston, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Don and Ed. 

Visitation will be held in the Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St Grafton on Tuesday February 3, 2026 from 4 PM until services at 6PM with Pastor David Walker of the Belden United Methodist Church will officiate.
