Marlene was born in Cleveland, OH on August 23, 1954, and brought home to Belden to grow up in the wonderful country air of Grafton, OH, in Lorain county. Marlene and her sister Michaelene, loved horses and were both in 4-H, the Midview Light Reiners group. She was also a member of Junior Achievement. Marlene's schools included Belden Elementary, Grafton Jr. High, Graduating from Midview High in 1974. She worked a number of interesting jobs. One of her first jobs was legal assistant in Elyria, OH and moved on to the Westfield Insurance Co in Leroy/Westfield Center near Seville, in Medina county, where she worked for many-many years. She made a lifetime friendship with a dear coworker, Linda and other friends of which she made many, along the way.
Marlene is survived by her sisters Michaelene (Grafton, OH) and Margret(Margo) Brkich/Love of Johnson City, TN. Also, by her 1st cousin Arlene(Roger) Craig from Arizona, cousins Kelly (Jim)AZ. Nephews Greg and Daniel Moran and loving Neice, Theresa(Roert) Moran/Bean. Cousins in Ohio, Carol and Lynne (Kestranek) Robert (FL).
Lifelong Friends/"Family", Gerard and Georgette Mikus (Chardon, OH), Linda Severt of Westfield, Henry, Karlyn, Brian C. Of Grafton, numerous friends that are like family. Every one she knew,, were her friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Michael & Helen Brkich, sister Mary (Moran/Urban) Dear nephew, Rober Michael Moran. Numerous Aunts & Uncles Charlie & Doris Berdyck, Stanley & Laura Berdyck, Rose (Berdyck)Corne and Cousin Jeff Craig.
Marlene enjoyed so many activities ....Kayaking and Camping with her "family" Gerard and Georgette Mikus & their "Kids" (Anna, Quido, Mingo & Lauren) at West Branch Reservoir. She enjoyed all the simple pleasures of life....everyone's pets, of whom she became "Aunt Marlene", gardening vegetables and flowers, baking mostly old family recipes and cooking for herself and others. She was ALWAYS helping others and especially working with her sister, Michaelene at the Brkich Family acres, in Belden. She loved riding her 4 wheelers and tractor around the farm and back into the woods. She loved the quietness of the farm and the country life.
She supported her Beliefs, such as the USO, Sierra Club, the DAV and dozens more, including the Democratic party and the Wounded Warrior Project. Helping others ALWAYS❣
