Mary Ellen Marks

 Mary Ellen Marks was called home on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at the age of 79, surrounded by her family.Mary was born on July 2, 1940 in Bellepoint West Virginia to Jesse and Bonnie (Yoak) Snyder. She was a member of the Christian Unity Church where she shared her love of Jesus with her church family. Mary enjoyed sewing, quilting, and crocheting donations to the church which were given to local nursing homes. She loved going to bookstores and libraries to get books to read. Her favorite music was Bluegrass Trail music and she liked to play her banjo. Mary also enjoyed watching westerns like Laramie on TV. More than anything Mary loved her family.Mary is preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Bonnie Snyder, and her son Denzil Lee Marks. She is survived by her husband Carrol Marks, her daughter Linda Marks, her sons Mike Marks, Jim (Kathi) Marks, Jesse (Sherry) Marks, her sister Rita (Ben) Harrison, her brothers Jim (Rosalie) Snyder, Jerry (June) Snyder, nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.A visitation will be held on Friday, November 1, 2019 at Christian Unity Church 36353 Capel Road in Grafton, Ohio from 11 AM to noon, followed by a small service. The burial will commence thereafter at Resthaven Memorial Garden in Avon, Ohio. Arrangements are being handled by Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton.
