Maxie Glenn Obituary

Maxie L. Glenn, 49 of Lagrange, Ohio, originally from Clarksburg, WV, passed away unexpectedly Thursday December 24th, 2020. She was born in Youngstown, Ohio on October 15, 1971 to the late Jack F. White and Leota J. Grissom (Seabolt). She graduated from Calhoun County High School in 1991. This was when she met her husband James Glenn. They soon started a family bringing two beautiful children into this world, John and Bridget. She also had two step children from James’ previous marriage, Matt and Aaron, who she loved and cherished as her own. Maxie and James were together for 4 years before being married on August 19, 1995.

Growing up Maxie and her brothers worked together as paperboys in their town. During her high school years she worked at Foodland in the deli and bakery. When she later started her family with James they moved to Clarksburg in 1999 and soon after she started working at Smoke Time Sams. She worked there for many years and then went on to work at Dairy Queen and then later as a housekeeper for Hilton Garden Inn. She was an amazing housewife and mom and even though that was the hardest job of all, she did it very well. She always managed to take care of everyone and everything in spite of what she had going on in her life.

Maxie’s hobby was spending time in the kitchen either cooking or gathering at the table with friends and family enjoying their company and playing cards or board games. She always made sure she made too much food so she knew that whoever was coming over to the house wasn’t going to go hungry. She enjoyed doing puzzles, watching some favorite tv shows, bird, squirrel and rabbit watching and occasionally playing video games. She always knew how to put a smile on everyone’s face, she was so kind, funny, caring and selfless. She was and always will be an amazing mom, wife, friend and so many other things. Her memories will be treasured by those of us who knew and loved her dearly.

Maxie is survived by her loving husband, James A. Glenn of Lagrange, Oh; their children, Matthew C. Glenn (Isabel Castaneda) of Louisiana, Aaron L. Glenn (Kaylee Haney) of Belington, WV, John A. White (Jessica Stout) of Salem, WV and Bridget N. Glenn (Tyler Parsons) of Lagrange and Grafton, Oh; grandchildren, Landen of Buckhannon WV, Evangelina and Izik of Louisiana, Elli and Kinlee of Belington, WV; aunts, Janet Davidson (Gene Davidson) of Youngstown, Oh, Margaret Eaglecloud ( Roger Baker) of Point Marion, Pa, sister-in-law, Virginia Grissom of Lagrange, Oh, brother-in-law, Dave L. Jarvis of Lagrange, Oh, nephews, Zachary B. Grissom and Joshua C. Grissom of Lagrange, Oh, Roy D. Grissom (Miranda A. Clark) of Elyria, Oh and so many other friends and family who loved her dearly.

Maxie is preceded in death by her parents Jack F. White and Leota J. Grissom; brothers, John Milton “John John” and Robert Grissom; grand parents, Ray and Maxine Seabolt and Frank and Mildred White; beloved cat Angel Glenn.
