Patricia Hendricks

Patricia Hendricks ( nee Szczepanski ) age 90 of LaGrange passed away due to Alzheimer's complications on September 26, 2020. She was born August 11, 1930 to Felix & Ella Szczepanski of Grafton, the 12th of 14 children. She was an avid reader ( especially author Debbie Macomber ), loved cooking, sewing and needlework as well as her collection of dolls and Beanie Babies. Holmes County, Ohio was one of her favorite areas to visit, sightsee and shop. Mom's favorite song was " Home Grown Tomatoes" by John Denver. Pat was preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years Walter Hendricks, daughters Patti Ann Hendricks and Rhoda Bordeaux. She is survived by her daughter Liz ( Sonny ) Whiton of Washington State, sons Wally of Ohio and Mike ( Lois ) of Arizona, brother Eugene ( Jane ) of Ohio and brother in-law Jim King of Ohio as well as many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends throughout the United States. Especially helpful in her later years were grandchildren Daniel Snyder ( Minnie ) of New York and Lawrence Snyder ( Alicia ) of Ohio and care giver Victoria Pwalua.. The family wishes to thank Dr. M. Jayber, nurse Dawn and Holly of Avon, Ohio for their loving care and compassion for Patricia for over 20 years. In lieu of flowers, Pat would be pleased if you made a donation to Hospice of the Western Reserve 5075 Windfall Rd. Medina, Ohio 44256. Pat will be buried in St. Mary's Cemetery in Grafton and she had requested there be no services. Arrangements were handled by the Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton.
