Paul Ksenich Obituary

Paul John Ksenich, age 79 of Grafton Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, July 19th 2025.

Paul was born at Elyria Memorial Hospital on December 1st,  1945.  He lived in Lorain Ohio for a short period of time, but he spent most of his life living in Grafton Ohio close to friends and family.

Paul proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, but he didn’t have to go to Vietnam.  He was fortunate to spend his time in service drinking beer and eating the local German eats for 2 years for his tour in Munich Germany.  He served with a few other friends from Grafton Ohio, and they were all deployed to the same location.  He had many great stories to tell about his time in service and the fun times they had.

After his “stint” in the Army, he worked for Ohio Edison until he retired around 1997.  Paul was a brave man, as he was a lineman for Ohio Edison.  He worked and retired from Ohio Edison for 39 years where he made many friends,  and he proudly shared many fond stories of his work experiences with his friends.

He loved hunting in West Virginia with his son Ryan, and other lifelong friends he made along the way.  His favorite place to go was Amish Country with his daughter Becky and his “favorite Son” in law George.  He was an “Authority” on firearms, and this was his greatest hobby occupying most of his free weekends going to gun shows.  He truly enjoyed going to breakfast with his friends “the boys” 5 days out of the week.  He had a strong connection with them, and he valued them tremendously.  He also loved going to his kid’s houses on a weekly basis for dinner and watching his favorite TV show “Gun Smoke.”  Paul also enjoyed going to the AMVETS and the Grafton VFW Post for a “beer sandwich” with his friends.

Paul is preceded in death by his wife Shiree, Mother Rose Ksenich and Father John Ksenich.  He is survived by his daughter Rebecca Benko (Ksenich) and her husband George Benko, his son Ryan Ksenich and wife Kelly Hale (Ksenich), and his 4 grandchildren, Devin Benko, Brandon Benko, Mathew Ksenich, and Joshua Ksenich.
