Pauline L. ( Nee Skidmore ) Hardman , age 88 of Grafton passed away Monday September 16, 2019 in the Keystone Pointe Nursing Center following a long illness. She was born in Gilmer County, West Virginia and had lived in the Grafton and LaGrange area since 1952. She worked as a cook at Midview Schools for many years, and had worked as a bookkeeper and enjoyed selling Avon. Pauline and her husband were on a couples bowling league for several years. she raised a large garden and preserved the vegetables for the year to come. She was always happy to cook for her family and friends .She also enjoyed attending church and reading the Bible. Pauline had a kind heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She was a member of Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church in Grafton. She is survived by her daughter Shirley Wilson of Elyria, brothers Jerl ( Marilyn ) Skidmore of LaGrange and Charles ( Eileen ) Skidmore of Elyria. Survivors also include 2 grandchildren Christine Wilson of Elyria and Michael ( Annette ) Wilson of Avon Lake, 4 great grandchildren Marc ( Hannah ), Zachary, Tora , Tori and by 5 great great grandchildren Kaiden, Karsen, Ryker, Sadie and Harper and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years Raymond " Jake " Hardman in 1998, her parents Raymond and Nellie ( Moss) Skidmore and by her brother Otis Skidmore. The family will receive friends on Thursday September 19, 2019 from 6 PM until services at 7 PM in the Midway Baptist Church 41812 Griswold Rd. Elyria with Pastor Rick Keesee officiating. Private burial will take place in Mt. Pisgah Church Cemetery, Grafton at a later date. A special thank you to the staff at Keystone Pointe and New Life Hospice for their care and compassion.
