Obituary
Rodney Dale Heard was born December 2, 1949 in Pittsfield, ILL to Ralph and Ethel Heard (both deceased). He died December 20, 2022 of heart complications at his home in Lorain, OH. He was 73. He leaves behind two sisters, Sandy Summers and Sheila Poythress; and a brother, Larry Heard. He is survived by his spouse of 44 years, Debra J. Heard; as well as his children, Heather J. Fisher, Rodney Devlin Heard and Megan Heard; and grandchild, Alyssa J. Fisher.
Rodney was a 22yr Veteran of the Marine Corps. His service career took him to many places and introduced him to many things. He was honorably discharged but continued to support his country with great pride .In honoring his wishes, Rodney will be cremated.
A memorial is being planned for a later date. Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton is handling arrangements.
