Romona M. Goldsmith (Pritt), 94, born January 5, 1929, passed away Monday, September 4, 2023 at Ames Hospice center in Westlake.
Romona was the eldest of seven children, graduating in Gilmer County, West Virginia. After high school she worked as a waitress where she met a handsome coal miner who became the love of her life, and moved to Grafton. She worked as a cashier at Grafton Sparkle for 29 years before retiring. She enjoyed crocheting, crosswords, church activities, and collecting roosters. She was hardworking and dedicated to her family. She will be greatly missed.
Romona was preceded in death by her mother, Fondella Pritt (Reno); father, Aaron Pritt; brothers, Van, Perry, John, Richard; sisters, Edna, Adele; honorary sister and friend of 50 plus years, Audrey Inman; her husband, Albert C. Goldsmith; and son, Albert Goldsmith.
Romona is survived by daughters, Reva (Joe) Rundell of Texas, Robin Koch of Wellington; grandchildren, Mickey Goldsmith of North Carolina, Jennifer Rundell of Texas, Pamela Goldsmith of North Olmsted, Debra Rundell of Texas, Jason Koch of Wellington, Jaime Koch Elyria, Amanda Goldsmith of Texas, Heather Goldsmith of Texas; and great-grandchildren.
In keeping with her wishes, all services were private. Burial was in Nesbett Cemetery, Grafton Township.
Arrangements were handled by the Duke Funeral Home, 1021 Main St., Grafton.
