Roseanna L. Said

Roseanna “Tish” Said, 57, passed away on August 27th surrounded by love and her family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Tish was born in Washington DC and her brother JD in Maryland to the late Garmon and late Rose McPeters. After spending time in Florida and North Carolina, later in their childhood they moved to Cleveland, Ohio where Tish met her love of 40+ years, her husband Rick.  Tish’s dreams were to have a family and a home of her own.  Her dreams came true when she and Rick had two children, Jonathan and Christine, and in 1993, when they made Columbia Station their “home.”

Over the years, Tish enjoyed listening to music (especially Stevie Nicks & Phil Collins), spending time at Holiday Lakes, shopping at thrift stores, going to movies and concerts, taking their classic cars to car cruises, camping, and traveling.  Especially the trips she took each year with her brother to see their family around the southern US.  Tish’s greatest joy however, was spending time with their friends and family, especially with her granddaughter, Hannah, and her dogs.

Tisha was the sweetest, most loving, and truly toughest woman.  She was a great wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She is love by many and will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be from 5 -8 PM on Thursday September1, 2022 in the Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton where funeral services will be held on Friday September 2, 2022 at 11 AM. Burial will be in Columbia Cemetery, Columbia Station.
