Roy H. Schramm

Roy Henry " Hap "  Schramm, age 79 of Oberlin passed away Friday April 26, 2024 in his home surrounded by his two daughters and wife while under the care of New Life Hospice. Roy was born June 14, 1944 in Lower Salem, Ohio to the late Carl & Olive ( Nee Wickens ) Schramm and had lived in Oberlin since the 1950's. Roy met Dalpha and were married September 12, 1970. Roy worked for LuxAire for several years and drove school  bus for Oberlin Schools until 1983.Roy also worked at Twining Motor Sales and retired from Nascorp after 41 years. He enjoyed bowling, being with his family and working on remodeling projects as well as keeping his lawn well cared for. He is survived by his wife Dalpha, daughters Marie Schramm, Shelley ( Jerry ) Moon of Wellington and by grandchildren Jason Schramm of Oberlin, Jerry ( Jordan ) Moon of Grafton, Paige ( William ) Waite of Wellington, Neal ( Hergina) and Jill Behner of Amherst, Alex of Wellington. Survivors also include great grandchildren Christina, Kaedyn, Gabe, Jolene, Hazel, Phoebe and Ayden and by his siter Ruth ( Koty ) Klekota. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Mary and June, brothers Richard, William, Benny and Clyde and by granddaughters Andrea & Brooke Moon. There will be a celebration of life on June 1st, 2024 from 12 Noon until 8 pm at Camden Township Hall 50679 State Route 303 Oberlin with pastor JJ of New Life Hospice officiating a service at 1 PM.
