Roy Edward Spaw

Roy E. Spaw, 64, of Grafton, Ohio passed away peacefully On March 11, 2026, after a courageous journey with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Roy was born April 14,1961, to Glen Spaw and Nancy Russell. He was a Tool and Die Engineer  for Wire Products Company, LLC  for 47 years.  Those who knew Roy will remember him for his kindness, determination, and the courage he showed throughout his life and journey with ALS. He loved the beach, and his laughter and sense of humor made him “the funny guy” to everyone who knew him.  Roy is survived by his loving wife Patricia Spaw, his siblings Tina Darby (Al) Of Brunswick Oh , Allan Spaw of Berea, Oh and sister in law Heidi Rose (Adam) of Cuyahoga Falls, Oh and many loving nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his beloved son Nicholas Spaw (2021) and his father Glen Spaw (Karen) and mother  Nancy Russell and his two brothers Ronald Spaw of Cleveland, Oh and William Spaw (Theresa) of Tennessee.  Roy will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.  Visitation will be held on Saturday March 28, 2026 from 3 to 5 PM at the Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton. During the service, a dear friend of Roy's Dennis George will share a few words on remembrance and offer a prayer and reading from the Bible in his honor.
