Sophie Dixon Obituary

Sophie Dixon, 91 of Glen Daniel, WV passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV. Sophie was born March 12, 1929 in Cleveland, OH. She was the daughter of the late Charles Rauscher and Clara Machnicki Rauscher.
Sophie was a member of the North Eaton Christian Church - Ohio for 50 years and attended the Family Worship Center for 18 years. Sophie enjoyed puzzles, crocheting, playing cards, BINGO and dominoes. She never forgot a birthday and always sent a card. Sophie retired from Law Blower Company as a punch press operator after 39 years.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Jack Dixon; son, William "Bill" Dixon; two brothers, Frank and Richard Martinski; one sister, Rose Parker; two grandsons, Dennis Clyburn Jr. and Michael Parron; and son-in-law, Dennis Parron.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Darlene (Steve) Hedgecock, Shelby Dennison, and Clara Parron; son, Jackie Dixon; one brother; three sisters, 14 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 21 great great grandchildren.
Due to current health concerns a memorial service will be held at a later date.
