Teddie G. Allman Sr.

Teddie G. Allman, known affectionately as Ted, passed away on July 14, 2024, at the age of 86, in Grafton, Ohio. Born on July 19, 1937, Ted led a fulfilling life marked by devotion to his family and a distinguished career. Ted spent many years at the Ford Engine Plant in Cleveland, from where he retired, contributing significantly to the industry with his skills and dedication. 

Beyond his professional life, Ted was passionate about playing guitar, racing, and particularly enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports, a pastime that brought him immense joy. 

 He leaves behind his beloved wife of 64 years, Linda, and their children: Teddy, Brian, Joanne Smith (Bryce), Pam (Tom), and Mark (Alane). Ted was a proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He also leaves his brother, Grant Allman (Lynda). Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Dwight and Autie Allman, and his sister, Betty Mayberry. 

Visitation to celebrate Ted's life will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Duke Funeral Home in Grafton, Ohio with a service to follow at 4 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Ted.
