Timothy “Tim” Allen Miller went home to be with the Lord at the Cleveland Clinic Tuesday June 30, 2020.
Tim was a 1992 Midview High School graduate. He attended the University of Toledo College of Engineering earning a Bachelor and Master degrees in Electrical Engineering. He completed his Master degree course of study in one year with a thesis. He interned at the NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio where he won the prestigious American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics award and commendation for the development of power systems for deep space applications. His work was relevant to the successful NASA Deep Space 1 mission launched in 1998. He went on to work in the automotive industry and was awarded two US patents for achievements involving vehicle safety and reliability. Tim was an avid Cleveland sports fan and enjoyed spending time with family at sporting events.
He is survived by his parents John and Carolyn “Sue” Miller Jr., his brother Brian (Wendy) Miller and niece Delaney Miller with many cousins, aunts and uncles. Tim was preceded in death by grandparents John and Evelyn Miller Sr., Clearance and Wilma Lyons and Uncle James L. Miller. The Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton is handling the arrangements. Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 11, 2020 at 11 AM in the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church 25801 Royalton Rd. Columbia Station. The Reverend Charles Ryba will be officiating in the celebration of Tim’s life. Tim will be buried in the Butternut Ridge Cemetery in Eaton Township.
