Tymme A. Switzer

Tymme (Tym) A. Switzer, 75, passed away on May 24th, 2024, after a long battle with cancer, surrounded by family, at New Life Hospice in Lorain. He was born on January 18th, 1949, in Wooster, OH to Howard and Ruth (nee Young) Switzer. He graduated from Fairview High School in 1967, the same year he joined the Marine Corps. After basic training at Camp Lejeune he completed two tours of duty in Vietnam in 1968 and 1969,

He had many hobbies and careers after, including truck driving, dealership service, drag racing, and engine building. Throughout the hobbies and careers he was a hardworking and studious father to his sons, Tym, Michael, and Neil ( Alyssa  )His Marine-hardened will, diagnostic mindset, and relentless demand for perfection, was engrained in them.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Sandy. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Crystal (nee Gomoll), his sister Judy Findlay, three sons Tym, Michael, and Neil, three grandchildren, Ella, Grant, and Kayleigh.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday June 15th at 2 pm in the Grafton United Methodist Church 973 Mechanic St. Grafton.
