Wanda (Daniels) Long

Wanda Long (nee Daniels) 74, of Grafton passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 19th, 2025 in her home. Wanda was born on September 20th, 1950 in Martin, Kentucky. She resided in Grafton for most of her life, later lived in Kentucky for 15 years with her husband Larry, and upon his retirement from Ford they relocated back to Grafton, Ohio, where she would spend the rest of her life.. She worked at the Red Cross in Cleveland, and later went on to work at Huntington Bank, at which she retired after 29 years. Wanda was a faithful member of Pleasantview Church. She was a cherished wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Wanda is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Lawrence (Larry) Long. Daughters; Dawn Combs (McCartney) and Teresa Young. Sister; Vicki Bullock (Ron). Grandchildren; Cody McCartney (Kayla), Mikayla Christman (Brandon), and Zachary Young. Great Grandchildren; Gideian, Negan, Jay, Loraine, Weston, Madison, and Conley. 

She is preceded in death by her sister, Lynn Cesar, and parents, Loraine and Conley Daniels. May it bring us peace in her reunion with our beloved Mimi and Poppy once again. 

Though she may have been Wanda to many, most that knew her would call her Nana. She dedicated her retired life to her family, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She lived for her babies, as she would call them. Nana loved her babies. She cared deeply for not only her family, but strangers the same. Nana always ensured that everyone who crossed into her threshold was safe and loved. She truly had the heart of an angel and has joined her parents and sister in Heaven, surely baking endless amounts of gingerbread together. 

Nana, your love for family, and your legacy of strength, dedication, and tradition will live on in our hearts forever.

She's gone away with a friend. 

The family will welcome family and friends on Monday, March 24th from 11 AM until services at 12 Noon at Duke Funeral Home, 1021 Main Street, Grafton, Ohio 44044.Srvices will be officiated by Elders Dennis Elkins & Larry Newsome. Burial will be in Nesbett Cemetery, Grafton Township. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the funeral to assist with funeral expenses.
