Wayne E. Davis

Wayne E. Davis, age 72 of Grafton peacefully passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday January 11, 2020 in his home following a courageous battle with lung cancer .He was born November 22, 1947  in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee and had resided in Cleveland and Grafton all his life. Wayne was a proud Vietnam Veteran serving in the US Army 6th Battalion, 11th Artillery Regiment, earning many medals. He worked in the auto and steel industry until retiring in 2011.Wayne enjoyed spending time with friends and  family and hosting his many get togethers. He was preceded in death by his parents Windell & Betty Davis and by his brother Kevin Davis. Wayne is survived by his children John ( Heather) Davis, Theresa ( Russell ) Davis ,Jeff ( Diane ) Davis and by 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Survivors also include his sister Joyce ( Andy ) Amberik, brothers Rich ( Sharon ) Davis, Tim (Sylvia ) Davis and by  long time companion Shirley Davis Ruggiero. Friends are welcome to a brief service at the Lakeview Freewill Baptist Church 12025 S. Durkee Rd. Grafton at High Noon on Friday January 17, 2020. Burial will be in Butternut Ridge Cemetery in Eaton Township with military honors. arrangements were handled by the Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton.
