William Earl Chapman III

William E. Chapman III, age 64 of Elyria went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday October 24, 2020 .He battled a terminal illness for a long time. He was a 1975 Midview High School graduate, worked at L & K, Dawson and retired from Ross Environmental Services. He volunteered at Midview Middle School in the library and later volunteered at the Villa Camillus Nursing Home. He was an avid supporter of St. Jude's Children's Hospital and loved rescuing Dachshunds. He worked along with his wife in a clothes ministry and was a long time church member of NECC, a dedicated man of God and a deacon. He was a builder at heart and loved doing projects around the house. He loved gardening and took pride in his yard and home. He was a loving husband, great father and enjoyed his grandchildren to the fullest. His grandchildren meant the world to him. William is survived by his wife Hope, sons Christopher ( Holly ) of Elyria, Nicholas ( Keri ) of Elyria, Wayne ( Dawn ) of Tennessee, daughter Heather ( Aaron ) of Elyria and by his 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 7 nieces and nephews and 2 great nephews . He was preceded in death by his mother Phyllis ( Smith ), father William II and Floyd Chapman. A memorial service will be held on Saturday November 21, 2020 in the Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church 39888 Parsons Rd. Grafton at 2 :00 PM.
