William T. Dickens

William T. Dickens, age 84 , born December 20, 1936 in Kaford, West Virginia, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday November 29, 2021. Bill had been in the hospital a short time before he lost his battle with pneumonia. Bill moved to Wellington in 1953 and was happy and blessed to have made Wellington his permanent home, where he and his wife Sandy of 31 years, enjoyed the fellowship of many friends and family. Bill left a lasting impression on everyone he met with his smile and words to cheer any gloomy day. He enjoyed praising the Lord with his voice and guitar. Woodworking was one of his passions, making full size crosses at no charge for various churches. He had worked at LTV Steel for 45 years. He was a kind care giver for his stepson Mark for 14 years and his kind hearted care surely will be missed. Bill is survived by his loving wife Sandy Dickens ( nee Stadalsky ), his children Lynn ( Swane ) wells and Debbie ( John ) Ballash, his sister Sue Baxter, grandchildren Shaun, Danielle, William, Bailey, Robert, Sarah and Zachary and many great grandchildren. He was also a loving stepfather to Jim ( Kelly ), Mark, Ryan ( Beth ), Greg ( Kristin ), and Phillip ( Ciara) Stadalsky. He was preceded in death bu his parents Ray & Ruby Dickens, sister Barb and brothers David, Gary and Lathan. . Friends may call in the Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton on Friday December 3, 2021 from 10:30 AM until  12 Noon services. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington..
