William 'Billy' Shavor, 76, of Grafton, Ohio, passed away peacefully in his sleep Saturday, July 19, 2025.
Born April 30, 1949, in Wayne, West Virginia, Billy was known for his gentle spirit, quirky humor, and heartfelt loyalty to those he loved. He worked for many years at Cleveland City Forge in Wellington until his retirement.
Billy was preceded in death by his loving parents, William and Alice 'Granny' Shavor; and his brother, Michael Shavor. He is survived by his devoted sister and caretaker, Diane Plavny (Shavor), who shared countless memories and lovingly cared for him throughout his life.
Billy had a special knack for turning the ordinary into something memorable. Whether it was watching movies and grabbing a bite to eat, inventing creative food combinations, or making his regular Monday morning movie returns, he found joy in life's simple rhythms. Known for never missing a birthday, Billy made everyone feel remembered and special. He also had a deep appreciation for classic music, especially the sounds of Elvis Presley, Patti Page, and his beloved vinyl records.
Billy's life was quiet, steady, and rich in the things that matter most-family, friendship, and faithfully showing up for the people he loved. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
