Maxine Smith

Maxine Smith went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 18, 2017 after a long battle with Alzheimers. She was born June 21, 1932 in Rosedale, West Virginia to Albert and Drusia Fisher.
Maxine's primary focus in life was that of a homemaker and loving mother to her six children.  She retired from Zion Industries. She was previously employed by Keystone school district and drove school bus for 15 years.  She was a member of the Midway Baptist Church in Elyria.
Survivors include her daughter Pauline (Lynn) Meeks of Reno, Ohio; sons Mike of Wellington, Blaine (Star), Brad (Reta), Bobby (JoAnn) and Calvin all of LaGrange; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Walker, in 2012; four sisters and seven brothers.
Friends may call Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 5-8 PM at the Blackburn Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St.  Grafton. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 22,  2017 at 11:00 AM at the Midway Baptist Church, 41812 Griswold Rd., Elyria.  Pastor Rick Keesee will officiate. Burial will follow at Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Grafton. Immediately following burial dinner will be served at the Midway Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
